Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.
Healthy oceans and seas are essential to our existence. They cover 70 percent of our planet and we rely on them for food, energy and water. Yet, we have managed to do tremendous damage to these precious resources. We must protect them by eliminating pollution and overfishing and immediately start to responsibly manage and protect all marine life around the world.

TAKE ACTION TODAY
Find a Goal 14 charity you want to support. Any donation, big or small, makes a difference!
Avoid buying bottled water. Use tap water if it has been treated. Filter, boil, use rainwater - do what you can to reduce the use of plastics.
Organize a campaign to raise awareness of the effects of plastics on the seas and oceans.
Reduce waste. Much of the waste that we produce on land ends up in the oceans. Stop using plastic bags: Usage and unsustainable disposal of plastic is a major cause of marine pollution.
Buy seafood caught and processed locally. Support fishers and small-scale producers by shopping in local markets and shops.
Organize a cleanup project for rivers and oceans. Engage your whole community to clean up a local river, lake, seaside or ocean.
